Seacoast of Bohemia

I have seen two such sights, by sea and by land! But I am not to say it is a sea, for it is now the sky:
Betwixt the firmament and it you cannot thrust a bodkin's point.

i make u ded of lolrus

I realize this meme has been to some extent superseded by the Digg.com/code thing this week, but the fascination with memecats/cat macros/lolcats never stops! It's been a month since I wrote this discussion of the mimetic status of memecats, and since then my interest has only continuted to grow.

As of today, for instance, I have completely fallen in love with the Lolrus. I can't stop looking at his poor, bucket-loving face!

Moar links
I can has cheezburger? Especially useful for the tag cloud at the bottom, though some submemes are definitely still missing!

Lolrus on You're the Man Now Dog.

The famous Anil Dash has written a series of posts (first) (second) (third) on the phenomenon which is much more linguistics-oriented than mine. I guess his is the structuralist counterpart my cultural studies analysis? Either way, there's clearly some sort of publication or conference panel potential in this.

Good thing I've just become the webmistress (as well as secretary) for GESA, the graduate English Students' Association. Because I clearly don't spend enough time online.

I realize this is old news, but what about... THE LOLLERCAUST!

My obvious joy at seeing the LoLrus caused my Newly Minted Friend of the Boy Persuasion to show this to me.
