Seacoast of Bohemia

I have seen two such sights, by sea and by land! But I am not to say it is a sea, for it is now the sky:
Betwixt the firmament and it you cannot thrust a bodkin's point.

New Orleans triplog day 6

Day Six: Friday

Understandably, we sleep pretty late. Carrie has to go to her personal trainer, so she drops us off at Thrift City and we look around for a while while she does that.

Jamie finds Jessica a really cool burlap dress, and they also look at lots of books, including The lesbian love companion (not very interesting, after all. for all it claims to have won the "lavender heart.") 50 ways to tie a scarf, and lots and lots and lots of teen romances. My big purchase is, for six dollars, an incredibly butch bikerboy jacket. It's just as ugly as a bikerboy jacket should be. I love it.

We come home and then go downtown and eat at Mona's, a really good Lebanese restaurant. Then we go to a bar that used to be a blacksmith's shop and where we see the beautiful muledriver girl with the hat whom we love go buy several times. We talk about stuff and are kind of low key. We go to Katy's and see everyone, and then split off from them and go to cafe du monde for more bengiets (the waitress is tiny and very cute). We walk along the riverbank some, and all floss our teeth there with Jamie's travel floss. While Jamie and Carrie and Jessica are flossing, a man takes a picture of them. Flossing. On the riverbank. We go back to a bar to see everyone (Katy plus Texans) again and hug them, but we don't stay too long, and then we go home.

We go to bed. (Still kind of tired from Thursday.)
